Data Deletion

Tended gives you control over your data. You can delete specific items within the app, or delete your entire account to remove everything at once.

What You Can Delete in the App

Commitments

• Open the commitment you want to remove
• Tap the delete option
• The commitment and its associated data (notes, scheduled dates, reminders) are permanently deleted

Connection history

• Navigate to a person's profile and view their connection history
• Delete individual connection entries
• The connection record and any associated notes are permanently deleted

Calendar connections

• Go to Settings → Calendar
• Disconnect Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar
• OAuth tokens are immediately deleted from our servers and revoked with the provider

Phone number & SMS

• Go to Settings → Notifications
• Remove your phone number to stop all SMS notifications
• Your phone number is deleted from our servers

Push notification data

• Log out of the mobile app to delete your device token from our servers
• Or disable notifications in your device settings

What Cannot Be Individually Deleted

• People/contacts — People you've added are part of your organization's shared directory. They cannot be deleted individually by a single user. Contact your church admin if a person record needs to be removed.

Full Account Deletion

To delete your account and all associated data:

1. Open Tended and go to Settings
2. Scroll to Account
3. Tap Delete Account

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• All commitments you created
• All connection history you logged
• All registered device tokens (push notifications stop immediately)
• Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar OAuth tokens (access is revoked)
• Your phone number and SMS preferences
• Church data sharing preferences
• Your user profile (name, email, timezone, preferences)

Retention: After account deletion, we retain basic server logs for 30 days for security purposes. After that period, all remaining data is permanently purged.
